Paul Cosentino began his study of Yoga at the Iyengar Yoga School of San Francisco in 1990, just after graduating from San Jose State University in California with a Bachelor of Music degree.  He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the National Theater Conservatory in Denver, where he also trained in both trapeze (Low-flying) and Skinner Releasing Technique  This latter work played an integral role in Paul’s understanding of form, space, movement, and balance.  With attention to all of these disciplines, Paul has developed an awareness of the connections among voice, body, and mind, and their relationship to the performing artist; and it is this awareness that fosters his ability to share with other performers/singers his insights into these related modalities.

Paul has been teaching Yoga in New York City since 2001.  His classes and private sessions (filled with plenty of humor and light-heartedness) are taught with attention to the breath and optimal alignment, while incorporating aspects of his later studies and practices of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Bikram, Kriya, and Anusara Yoga.
